Singapore dollar (SGD)

1 article
Singapore's currency is the Singapore dollar, coded SGD and managed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Notes and coins circulate in dollar and cent denominations, while monetary policy is conducted through an exchange-rate-centered framework rather than a conventional short-term policy-rate target. Under an interchangeability agreement, Singapore and Brunei currency notes and coins are accepted at par by the participating banks. SGD nevertheless remains a distinct national currency with its own issuer and legal identity.
