History

Currency Information began publishing in 2010, following the registration of the domain in 2009. Over the following years, the site developed its coverage of currencies, exchange rates, monetary policy, banknotes, coins, and related monetary topics. In 2026, Currency Information was relaunched under a new editorial team as the next stage in the development of the existing publication.

The 2026 relaunch continued the site's established activity and subject focus rather than creating a new website. It marked a change in editorial leadership and an expansion of the publication. The site's history does not imply that the current owner or editorial team has been in place since 2010.

Why Currency Information Exists
