Review Currency Information’s advertising standards, accepted and rejected categories, commercial separation rules, and contact details for advertising inquiries.

Currency Information is an independent media publication covering currencies, exchange rates, central banks, monetary policy, banknotes, coins, monetary reforms, travel money, international payments, currency history, and scenario-based currency analysis. We use display and programmatic advertising, including Google AdSense and related Google advertising technologies. This page explains the boundary between commercial placement and independent publishing so that an advertising inquiry is not mistaken for a route to editorial influence.

Advertising inquiries may be sent to advertising@currencyinformation.org. Availability, formats, inventory, pricing, targeting, and technical requirements are confirmed case by case. Currency Information does not currently publish audience metrics or a public media kit.

Editorial Independence

Advertising is separate from independent editorial work. Advertisers cannot purchase favorable coverage, positive reviews, recommendations, corrections, scores, awards, backlinks, or editorial ranking positions. The same separation applies whether an advertiser is already visible on the site, is considering a campaign, or is discussed in editorial coverage.

Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position. Advertising does not guarantee traffic, sales, conversions, approval, profitability, SEO results, or continued placement.

Advertising Categories We May Review

  • Business and professional services
  • Financial education and general financial services
  • Banking and payment services
  • Travel and international-payment services
  • Technology and software
  • Education and research
  • Consumer products and services
  • Publishing, events, and conferences

Acceptance remains subject to relevance, lawfulness, accuracy, user safety, technical suitability, and the standards on this page. A category being listed does not amount to approval of every company, product, claim, creative, landing page, or jurisdiction within that category.

Advertising We Reject

  • Misleading financial claims, guaranteed returns, and get-rich-quick schemes
  • Unlicensed financial, payment, investment, or trading services
  • Deceptive cryptocurrency offers, token sales, or high-risk speculative promotions
  • Gambling, scams, phishing, malware, spyware, or deceptive downloads
  • Unsupported medical, legal, financial, or safety claims
  • Political propaganda, deliberate misinformation, hate, harassment, or extremist content
  • Adult content, illegal drugs, weapons, explosives, or counterfeit goods and documents
  • Advertisements designed to imitate independent editorial content
  • Requests to buy coverage, backlinks, reviews, awards, corrections, or ranking positions. Rejection may be based on the substance of the offer, the way it is presented, or the likelihood that an ordinary reader could be misled.

Ad Delivery and Third Parties

Programmatic advertisements may be selected and delivered by third-party systems. Currency Information may not control every individual advertisement, cookie, identifier, or campaign decision made by those systems. A concern can be investigated more effectively when the report identifies the exact page and advertisement rather than only the general product category.

Concerns about an advertisement should include the page URL, advertiser or product name, screenshot where possible, approximate date and time, and a description of the issue.

Available Formats

Programmatic display advertising is currently the confirmed advertising format. Direct advertising packages, custom placements, newsletter sponsorships, sponsored articles, lead generation, paid rankings, and social-media promotion are not confirmed as active products.

Any future direct arrangement would require written confirmation of format, duration, placement, creative requirements, pricing, disclosure, and compliance responsibilities.

Creative and Claims Review

Advertisements may be rejected or removed when the creative, landing page, product, or claim is deceptive, unsafe, unlawful, technically harmful, or inconsistent with the standards on this page. A compliant advertisement must not imitate editorial navigation, correction notices, system alerts, or independent recommendations.

Financial Advertising

Because Currency Information covers financially consequential subjects, financial advertising requires particular caution. Advertisers should not imply guaranteed profit, certain approval, risk-free returns, universal availability, or regulatory status that cannot be verified. The need for caution is greater when an advertisement could be interpreted as promising certainty, minimizing risk, or implying universal regulatory availability.

Currency Information does not certify that an advertiser is suitable for a particular reader or authorized in every jurisdiction.

Measurement and Reporting

Programmatic platforms may provide impression, click, and campaign data. Currency Information does not guarantee a specific audience size, click-through rate, conversion rate, search ranking, or business outcome. Available campaign data describes observed delivery or interaction and should not be presented as a promise of future commercial performance.

Separation From Reviews and Coverage

An advertiser may be covered critically, omitted from a ranking, or ranked below a non-advertiser when supported by the methodology. Editorial teams are not required to give advertisers advance approval of independent coverage.
