بنك أبوظبي الأول مصر is waiving account-opening charges and the first-year debit-card issuance fee from 15 to 31 October 2026 as part of a central-bank-sponsored financial inclusion campaign.
World Savings Day is the focus of a nationwide financial inclusion campaign sponsored by البنك المركزي المصري. Running from 15 through 31 October 2026, it offers fee-free account opening and free debit and prepaid cards. Customers can also access electronic wallets. Internet and mobile banking are included as well.
Offer terms
بنك أبوظبي الأول مصر says customers can open financial inclusion accounts without an opening fee from 15 October through 31 October 2026, a 17-day period inclusive. The bank is also waiving the fee to issue a debit card for its first year. Those are the two fees covered by the World Savings Day offer.
What the waiver covers
The announcement names the account-opening charge and the first-year card issuance fee. It does not say that every possible banking fee is waived.
The wider campaign also covers account opening without administrative charges or a minimum initial balance. It includes free debit and prepaid cards. Customers can use electronic wallets, along with internet and mobile banking, according to this campaign overview. ADIB Egypt and MIDBANK have announced similar account and card offers for the same period.
This promotion concerns individual account access. An earlier corporate lending report covered a different kind of banking deal: a SAR 75 million Islamic loan to Saudi steel company Ajij Steel.
The fee-free account opening and first-year debit-card issuance offer runs through 31 October 2026.
